MuaMua dolls born on the beach of Bali in 2006. Ludovica Virga, designer and creative mind, decides to produce crocheted dolls made by the inhabitants of the island, after the terrorist attacks in Indonesia from 2002 - 2005, they were left without work because of tourism acts.

Success came only in 2009 when the designer during a parade in Venice meets Karl Lagerfeld and makes a gift of Mua Mua doll with the features of the Kaiser of fashion. The designer began a collaboration with the Italian designer and in 2012 commissioned more than 500 dolls for sale in stores Lagerfeld. The response was immediate, slowly MuaMua dolls become a brand known by experts in the field: the family of dolls crochet is enriched with new characters: Anna Wintour, Coco Chanel, Franca Sozzani, Lady Gaga and many others.

Creations range from the iconic dolls and funny t-shirts as well as a line of accessories that has won international recognition. Mua Mua dolls is also a brand with strong purpose involved in charity and humanitarian support.  Each doll is in fact made in Bali in rural areas inhabited by women and older people living in difficult conditions, a part of the sum of sales for the collections are donated to a school Sumbawa to help and support women's education.
